The three of you made it as far as the kitchen before Felix forgot that Hyunjin had demanded a conversation longer than sex.

You had barely climbed onto one of the stools at the island when Felix stepped between your knees, one hand settling on your bare thigh beneath the hem of his shirt. His other hand slid around the back of your neck, drawing you into a kiss that started soft but lingered long enough for your body to remember everything it had survived that morning. His mouth moved slowly against yours, unhurried and warm, while his thumb traced the sensitive skin behind your ear. When you opened for him, his hand drifted higher beneath the shirt until his fingers curved around the side of your ass.

Hyunjin opened the refrigerator, glanced over his shoulder, and found Felix rocking his hips forward between your parted knees while your hands disappeared into his messy silver-blonde hair. Pulling out a carton of eggs, he observed, “We have been out of the bedroom for less than forty seconds. That might be a record.”

Felix broke the kiss just enough to answer, his lips still brushing yours while his palm remained shamelessly under the shirt. “She looked lonely,” he explained, as though rescuing you from six seconds of solitude had been an emergency.

“I was sitting here for six seconds,” you reminded him, although your fingers tightened in his hair when he kissed the corner of your mouth.

Felix looked toward Hyunjin with a solemn expression, his hand squeezing your hip beneath the shirt as he repeated, “Six lonely seconds.”

Hyunjin placed the eggs on the counter and reached for a mixing bowl, pointing it toward Felix like a warning. “Move before I crack one of these over your head.”

Felix gave you one last kiss, slower and deeper than the others, then reluctantly stepped away. His fingertips dragged along the inside of your thigh as he moved, leaving a warm trail that made your knees shift apart before you caught yourself. Hyunjin noticed. His eyes lowered briefly, darkening with satisfaction before he turned toward the stove like he had not seen anything.

You tugged the hem of Felix’s shirt farther down your thighs and watched Hyunjin search through the cabinets. “What are you making?”

“Breakfast,” he answered without looking back, already gathering ingredients beside the stove.

Felix leaned beside him and peered over his shoulder, his brows drawing together as if Hyunjin had deliberately misunderstood the question. “That is not an answer. Breakfast is a category.”

Hyunjin pulled down the flour and placed it beside the eggs. “Pancakes, eggs, fruit, and whatever meat survived your late-night raids this week.”

“I do not raid the refrigerator,” Felix insisted, but Hyunjin did not look up from the counter as he reminded him that he had eaten an entire package of bacon at two in the morning on Thursday. Felix pressed a hand to his chest as if wounded and claimed he had been recovering from rehearsal, to which Hyunjin immediately replied that he had been watching cartoons. Felix lifted his chin, completely unbothered, and declared that recovery was personal.

You laughed, and both men looked toward you at the same time.

The shared attention hit differently now. Yesterday, being watched by both of them would have made you self-conscious. This morning, it moved through you like warmth spreading beneath your skin. Felix smiled because he liked hearing you laugh. Hyunjin’s expression softened because he was still searching your face for signs that the morning had become too much. Between them, you felt desired and studied, but you also felt known.

Felix crossed the kitchen again and stopped behind your stool. His arms wrapped around your waist, and he lowered his face into the curve of your neck, breathing you in before kissing the sensitive spot beneath your ear. His body rested against your back, warm and almost naked except for the lounge pants sitting low on his hips.

Hyunjin pointed the whisk toward him as he warned, “She needs food,” but Felix did not lift his head from your neck. His mouth continued trailing lower as he explained that you were getting affection, like that should have satisfied every nutritional requirement. Hyunjin’s stare sharpened as he informed him, “She cannot eat affection.”

You tilted your head, breath catching when Felix’s lips found another sensitive place, and tried unsuccessfully not to react. “I mean, technically…” you began, only to feel both men’s attention snap toward you.

Hyunjin stopped stirring with the whisk hovering above the bowl and stared until heat climbed into your face. You bit back a smile and withdrew the suggestion with a quiet, “Never mind.”

“That is what I thought,” Hyunjin replied as he returned to the batter, but the corner of his mouth betrayed him. His movements grew looser, and the kitchen stopped feeling entirely serious as Felix laughed softly against your throat.

Felix’s hand slipped beneath the shirt again, his palm spreading over your stomach before drifting toward your hip. Watching Hyunjin measure the flour with disciplined precision, he complained, “He is very controlling in the kitchen.”

“He is controlling everywhere,” you agreed, reaching back to drag your fingers through Felix’s hair.

Hyunjin poured batter into the heated pan without glancing over. “Both of you seemed pleased with that quality a few hours ago.”

The heat that rushed into your face made Felix laugh against your throat. Lifting his head just enough to see your expression, he grinned and announced, “He got you.”

“He did not get me,” you argued as you reached behind yourself and pinched Felix’s side. When he flinched, you added, “And you need to stop encouraging him.”

Felix caught your hand and lifted it to his mouth. He kissed your palm, then each of your fingertips, the playfulness in his face turning unexpectedly tender. Holding your gaze, he promised, “I am never going to stop encouraging either of you.”

The sentence quieted something inside you.

Hyunjin heard it too. His hand slowed over the pan before he looked at Felix. For a moment, the humor rested between all three of you beside something heavier, something still too new to carry carelessly.

Then the pancake began to smoke, a thin curl of it rising from the pan until it caught your attention mid-breath. Still half-trapped in Felix’s arms, you pointed toward the stove and warned Hyunjin that breakfast was burning.

Turning sharply, Hyunjin lifted the edge with the spatula as if he could undo the damage by force of will alone. “It is not burning,” he insisted, although the darkening underside betrayed him.

Felix leaned around you, his chin nearly resting on your shoulder as he inspected the pancake with exaggerated seriousness. “That pancake has seen war.”

“It has color,” Hyunjin argued before flipping it onto a plate with a practiced motion that only made the truth more obvious. The pancake landed with a heavy, uneven thud, its surface dark enough that even he paused.

Felix studied it for another second before delivering his conclusion. “It has trauma.”

Hyunjin exhaled through his nose and set the spatula down harder than necessary. “You can make your own.”

Felix immediately tightened his arms around you from behind, pulling you back into him as though the kitchen itself had become negotiable. Softening his voice into the tone that always made him more difficult to refuse, he asked, “Baby, will you share yours with me?”

You glanced down at the remaining batter before looking back at him. “You do not even know if mine will be better.”

“It will be made with love,” Felix said without hesitation.

Standing at the stove, Hyunjin reminded him, “It will be made by me.”

Felix nodded as if that only strengthened his argument. “His love for you will season it.”

That earned a sharp, disbelieving look from Hyunjin. He dropped the spatula onto the counter with a decisive clatter and turned fully toward both of you. “I regret waking up,” he said, although the slight curve of his mouth kept the statement from being entirely true.

Felix grinned at him over your shoulder. “No, you do not.”

Hyunjin tried to hold the glare, but Felix stepped away from you and moved toward him, sliding one hand around his waist. The movement was easy, familiar in a way that made you wonder how many touches you had misunderstood before last night. Felix kissed Hyunjin’s shoulder, then the side of his throat. Hyunjin stayed still for half a second, fighting the reaction, before turning his head and meeting Felix’s mouth.

Their kiss was brief, but it was not shy. Felix’s hand tightened at Hyunjin’s waist while Hyunjin’s fingers curled into the waistband of his pants and drew him closer. Their bodies moved together with the smallest roll of hips, restrained enough to remain teasing but intimate enough to make your thighs tense beneath the shirt.

Hyunjin ended the kiss first and lifted the spatula between their bodies. His mouth remained close to Felix’s as he warned, “You are going to make me burn another one.”

Felix looked toward you, his lips damp and swollen. “She likes watching.”

You crossed one leg over the other and tried to appear unaffected. “I never said that.”

Hyunjin’s gaze traveled down your bare legs before returning to your face. “You did not have to.”

Felix returned to you wearing the pleased expression of a man who had successfully disrupted the entire kitchen. He stood at your side this time, combing his fingers slowly through your hair while Hyunjin poured more batter into the pan.

The phones began buzzing before the second pancake finished cooking.

Felix’s lit up on the counter. Hyunjin’s followed near the fruit bowl. Then yours vibrated against the island, three different rhythms filling the kitchen as the world outside the apartment demanded access.

Nobody reached for them.

Hyunjin placed the finished pancake on a clean plate and lowered the heat. Watching the screens continue to glow, he admitted, “We should probably look.”

Felix’s fingers stopped in your hair. “I was happier when the world forgot us.”

“It forgot you for almost an hour,” Hyunjin reminded him as he wiped his hands on a towel.

Felix gazed toward the bedroom like he was mourning a lost era. “Beautiful hour.”

You picked up your phone first. Notifications filled the screen. Congratulations from friends. Messages from people who had watched the ceremony. Several missed calls from your mother. A group chat full of blurry screenshots and accusations that you had cried when Felix and Hyunjin won.

Then you saw the photograph.

It was the picture from the private lounge after your confession, the one taken when Felix had pulled you between them. You stood at the center in your dress, Felix’s arm wrapped firmly around your waist while Hyunjin’s hand rested on your hip. Both of them were looking toward the camera. You were looking at Felix.

Someone had already posted it alongside the other award-night photographs, and it was spreading fast enough that you could almost feel the ripple of it moving through unseen hands. You enlarged the image on your screen, the three of you frozen in that private-lounge moment that no longer felt private at all, and let out a quiet, disbelieving breath. “Well.”

Felix leaned over your shoulder, his chest warm against your back as he looked down at the display. His arm slid loosely around you like it belonged there without question. “We look good,” he said, as if that alone could simplify what the photograph was beginning to mean.

Hyunjin picked up his phone a second later, already seeing the same image appear in a different feed. He studied it with a stillness that made the kitchen feel smaller. “We look like we are about to explain something to our parents,” he observed, his thumb pausing over the screen as though he could edit reality by holding it long enough.

“You look guilty,” you told him, turning slightly so you could see his face as well as the photograph reflected in his expression.

“I always look serious in pictures,” Hyunjin replied, but his eyes stayed on the image a moment longer than necessary, like he was already measuring what the world might decide it meant.

Felix zoomed in until Hyunjin’s hand on your hip filled the screen. Tilting the phone toward him, he said, “This does not look serious. This looks like you were trying to take her home.”

Hyunjin glanced toward the bedroom before returning his attention to the photograph. “I succeeded.”

You turned your face into Felix’s shoulder to hide your smile, but he caught your chin and kissed you, brief and warm. Pulling back just enough to see your expression, he whispered, “He got you again.”

The photograph had already gathered comments. Some people assumed you were a stylist. Others recognized you from older pictures and called you their roommate or best friend. A few wondered why Felix was holding you so close. Someone had drawn a circle around Hyunjin’s hand and added three question marks.

You held the phone out so both men could see the thread unfolding beneath the photograph. “They are analyzing your fingers.”

Hyunjin took the phone from you, his thumb scrolling once before he exhaled through his nose. “People have too much time.”

Felix leaned closer immediately and rested his chin on your shoulder, crowding the screen as if proximity would reveal more information. “They are not wrong.”

You tilted the phone until the next line was visible. “They think you were grabbing my ass.”

Hyunjin handed the phone back with a flat look. “I was not.”

You lifted a brow and let the silence stretch just long enough to make him feel it. “You were close.”

His gaze dropped slowly toward the part of you hidden beneath Felix’s shirt, as if the memory of his hand there had weight enough to be measured. “I can correct the mistake now.”

Felix immediately placed both hands over your ass and pulled you against him. “Position occupied.”

You laughed and tried to push him away, but he rocked his hips once between your knees until the sound caught in your throat. Hyunjin watched the movement with a look that grew warmer by the second.

Then his phone buzzed again.

He checked the message, and the warmth in his face gave way to focus. Setting your phone back on the island, he explained, “My manager wants to know whether we are doing the post-awards livestream from here or the studio.”

Felix groaned and reached for his own phone. After scrolling through several messages, he held the screen toward both of you. “Mine wants photographs for the company account. He specifically asked whether they can use this one.”

The lounge photograph stared back at you.

Your smile faded before you could stop it.

Felix noticed immediately. His hands left your body, not because he no longer wanted to touch you, but because he did not want affection to become a way of distracting you from whatever had changed inside your face. Watching you carefully, he asked, “What?”

You looked back down at the photograph and tried to keep the uncertainty from your voice. “Nothing.”

Hyunjin turned the stove off with a quiet click, the sound sharper than it needed to be in the suddenly still kitchen. “That is already against the first rule.”

Still holding your phone, you frowned slightly and reminded him, “We have not officially made rules yet.”

“We said no pretending and no hiding,” Hyunjin replied, his gaze remaining steady.

You rubbed your thumb against the edge of the phone, grounding yourself in the small, repetitive motion. “I know.”

Felix stepped closer again but stopped just short of touching you, as if he was learning where the new boundaries lived in real time. His voice lost its playfulness as he asked, “Talk to us.”

The request was quiet, stripped of his usual charm. He looked younger in the morning light, hair falling into his eyes, worry beginning to replace the confidence he wore so easily.

You glanced between them and forced the question past the tightness in your throat. “Are we in a relationship?”

Felix’s mouth opened, but nothing came out. Hyunjin leaned back against the counter and folded his arms, his eyes never leaving yours as he said, “I thought that was what we agreed.”

“We agreed that we wanted this. We agreed to do it together, but that does not tell me what this is.” You looked down at Felix’s shirt covering your body, suddenly aware that you were sitting in their kitchen wearing evidence of intimacy while the three of you still had not chosen language for it. “I do not want to wake up next week and find out I misunderstood.”

Felix’s expression softened, but there was hurt beneath it. Taking another careful step closer, he asked, “What could you have misunderstood?”

You lifted your eyes toward both of them. “That I joined something between the two of you. You were already sleeping together. You had feelings before I said anything. I walked into the room and became part of it, but that does not mean I understand where I fit.”

Hyunjin’s arms lowered to his sides while Felix’s face went still.

You kept speaking before either man could soothe you too quickly. “I do not want to be the exciting new piece that makes what y’all already had more interesting. I do not want to be included when it feels good and left outside when things get complicated. And I do not want either of you thinking I am going to choose one when the other becomes harder to love.”

The kitchen settled around the truth. The refrigerator hummed. Traffic moved far below the windows. On the stove, the half-finished breakfast waited while all three of you stood at the edge of the first real danger.

Hyunjin came to you first. He stopped close enough that his knees touched yours, then placed both hands on the island rather than on your body. Holding your gaze, he told you, “You did not join my relationship with Felix.”

Felix moved to your other side and nodded, his shoulder brushing yours as if grounding himself in the admission. “There was not a relationship to join,” he explained, although the words carried a faint hesitation, like he was still deciding how much truth he was allowed to hold at once.

“You were sleeping together,” you reminded them, watching both men carefully.

Felix exhaled through his nose before clarifying, “Twice. Before last night.”

Your brows rose as the number landed heavier than expected. “Twice?”

Hyunjin shot him a sidelong look and shook his head. “That detail was not necessary.”

“It is relevant context,” Felix argued, lifting both hands in defense as if the facts themselves were on trial.

Hyunjin’s eyes narrowed slightly. “You said it like you were giving testimony.”

The accusation hung between them, half exasperation and half reluctant amusement, as though even now they were learning how to speak about each other without turning intimacy into evidence.

Felix looked back at you and explained that the first time had happened after a party months ago, while the second happened the previous week after rehearsal. Scrubbing a hand through his hair, he admitted, “We had not talked about what it meant because we are apparently very intelligent men who communicate through choreography and bad decisions.”

Hyunjin’s mouth tightened as he looked at you. “He means we were afraid.”

Felix’s humor faded. “I was afraid saying it out loud would ruin what we had with each other and with you.”

You searched his face, taking in the worry he was no longer trying to disguise. “So what changed?”

“You told the truth first.” He reached toward you slowly, giving you enough time to refuse before his fingers wrapped around your hand. Bringing your knuckles close to his chest, he said, “You did not interrupt us, baby. You gave all three of us permission to stop lying.”

Hyunjin rested one hand over your knee. His touch was warm and steady, his thumb making one slow pass across your skin as he explained, “This is not one relationship that you entered. It is four relationships that need care.”

Felix frowned as he tried to map that structure in his head. “Four?”

Hyunjin shifted his weight against the counter and looked at him like he was laying something simple and inevitable on the table between them. “You and me. Her and me. Her and you. All three of us together.”

Felix went quiet for a beat, his eyes moving between you and Hyunjin as if testing the shape of it for cracks. He finally gave a small, reluctant nod. “That is annoyingly wise.”

Hyunjin’s mouth twitched as he replied, “You say that every time I make sense.”

Felix exhaled through his nose, a faint smile breaking through despite himself. “Because it keeps happening.”

Hyunjin ignored the complaint and turned his attention back to you. His thumb continued moving slowly over your knee while he explained that the relationship between you and him could not exist only when Felix was in the room, just as the relationship between you and Felix could not depend on his permission. What he and Felix shared could not be treated like a threat to you, and none of those connections could ever be used to make someone feel outside the three.

The tightness in your chest eased, but it did not disappear completely. Watching his hand rest against your skin, you asked, “So we are allowed to have time alone?”

“We need time alone,” Hyunjin answered. “Not as a way of excluding anyone, but as a way of building every part of this honestly.”

Felix lifted your hand to his mouth and kissed your knuckles. “I want dates with you. I want dates with him. I want dates where all three of us annoy everyone in the restaurant.”

“You annoy everyone by yourself,” you reminded him.

He kissed another knuckle and smiled against your skin. “That is why I need support.”

Your smile returned reluctantly, and relief moved through both men when they saw it.

Hyunjin squeezed your knee before introducing another boundary. “No scorekeeping.”

You tilted your head. “Meaning?”

His hand slid slightly higher on your thigh, not far enough to derail the conversation but enough to remind you that boundaries did not require distance. “No measuring love by hours, kisses, gifts, sex, or who slept in whose bed the night before. Someone getting one-on-one time does not mean the other person is being replaced.”

Felix nodded, but uncertainty crossed his face. “That one matters.”

You looked at him. “Why?”

He released your hand and leaned back against the island beside you. His gaze dropped toward the floor, and the vulnerability in him changed the entire shape of the morning. “Because I know myself. I can pretend jealousy is funny until it is not. If you and Hyunjin start having something that feels easier than what you have with me, I might get scared and act like an asshole before I admit I am scared.”

Hyunjin reached for him immediately, his fingers curling around the back of Felix’s neck. “You do not have to compete with me.”

“I know that here,” Felix said, touching his temple. He then rested his palm against the center of his chest, his voice growing quieter as he admitted, “I am not sure this part always knows.”

You slid off the stool and stepped between them. Felix’s hands found your waist almost automatically while Hyunjin kept one hand at the back of his neck. You kissed Felix slowly, letting your mouth stay against his until his shoulders loosened. When you pulled back, you kept your forehead close to his and told him, “Then you tell us when that part gets loud.”

His eyes searched yours. “Even if it is irrational?”

“Especially then,” you answered, stroking your thumb over his cheek.

Hyunjin’s fingers moved gently through the hair at Felix’s nape. “Jealousy is information. It is not permission to punish anyone.”

Felix glanced toward him and asked, “Did you rehearse that?”

“I read,” Hyunjin replied, the dryness in his voice cutting through some of the emotion.

Felix’s mouth twisted. “You are unbearable.”

Hyunjin lifted a brow. “You were inside my mouth several hours ago.”

Felix’s face brightened immediately. “And suddenly you are bearable again.”

You covered both of their mouths with your hands before the kitchen could become a bedroom without walls. Looking between them, you declared, “Rule number two. Nobody uses sexual memories to win arguments.”

Felix kissed your palm and complained that the rule felt targeted, while you confirmed that it was. Hyunjin gently pulled your other hand away from his mouth and kissed the inside of your wrist, allowing his lips to remain against your pulse for several seconds. The intimacy of it softened the laughter in your chest before he suggested, “We should write these down.”

Felix stared at him in disbelief. “You want a relationship contract?”

“I want us to remember what we said after the hormones stop controlling the room,” Hyunjin explained.

Felix glanced at you, then at the hand he still had around your waist. “The hormones are part of the household now.”

You looked down when his hand slipped beneath the shirt again and curved around your hip. “Some of them are worse than others.”

He drew you back against him and rested his mouth near your ear. “Do not blame me because you are wearing my shirt and nothing else.”

Hyunjin’s gaze lowered over your exposed legs. “She should probably keep wearing it.”

You looked between them, already feeling the conversation beginning to slip away. “We are trying to discuss boundaries.”

Felix’s thumb stroked the curve where your hip met your thigh beneath the fabric. “I am exploring one.”

“You are testing one,” you corrected.

He kissed the side of your face. “Testing is important.”

Hyunjin reached around you and caught Felix’s wrist. For a moment, you stood between them with Hyunjin’s hand wrapped firmly around Felix’s and Felix’s palm still warm beneath the shirt.

Looking at you rather than Felix, Hyunjin said, “This needs to be a real rule. Being in a relationship does not make every touch automatic.”

Felix’s playfulness quieted at once. His hand remained still while he waited for your answer.

You covered both of their hands with yours and considered what you genuinely wanted. “I like when you touch me in passing. Both of you. I like being kissed in the kitchen. I like hands under my clothes when we are alone.” Glancing toward the wide windows, you added, “Maybe not directly in front of the glass.”

Felix looked toward the high-rise across the street. “They cannot see this far.”

Hyunjin released his wrist and reminded him, “That is not the point.”

“I know,” Felix insisted. “I am comforting her.”

“You are comforting yourself,” Hyunjin replied.

You tightened your hand around Felix’s before the exchange could grow. “Liking it today does not mean I will want it every time. If I move your hand, say no, or pull away, nobody gets offended.”

Felix nodded immediately. “Agreed.”

Hyunjin’s expression remained serious as he added, “Nothing sexual is assumed because two people started something. The third person does not have to join, and the other two do not have to stop unless someone needs support.”

You considered how that might feel once the relationship moved beyond the safety of its first morning. “What if somebody feels left out?”

“Say it,” Hyunjin answered, his hand returning to your waist.

Felix rested his chin on your shoulder and asked, “What if someone wants to watch?”

Hyunjin looked at him. “Ask.”

Felix’s mouth curved as he continued, “What if someone wants to help?”

“Ask,” Hyunjin repeated.

Felix’s smile widened. “What if someone wants to be tied to the kitchen table?”

You turned your head and studied his expression. “That sounds extremely specific.”

“I believe in planning,” he said, kissing your cheek.

Hyunjin pushed away from the island and reached for the plate. “I am putting the pancakes in the trash.”

Felix released you and hurried toward him. “No, you are not. Food waste is immoral.”

“That first one is barely food,” Hyunjin replied, holding the plate beyond his reach.

Felix pointed toward it. “It has character.”

“It has carbon,” Hyunjin corrected.

Felix snatched a piece from the edge and ate it while Hyunjin stared at him. His chewing slowed as the bitterness registered, and he admitted, “It is a little bitter.”

You folded your arms and watched him struggle to swallow. “The pancake or the consequences?”

“Both,” Felix answered once he managed to force it down.

Hyunjin slid a fresh plate in front of you and began making another pancake. This time, he stayed focused on the pan while Felix prepared the eggs under supervision. You washed and cut fruit, still wearing nothing but Felix’s shirt, while both men found excuses to touch you whenever the conversation paused.

Hyunjin passed behind you and let his hand settle briefly at your waist. His fingertips slid across your stomach before he moved away. Felix reached around you for a knife he did not need and kissed the back of your neck. When you stepped between them to reach the sink, your ass brushed Felix’s hips and your chest skimmed Hyunjin’s arm. Neither contact was entirely accidental.

The kitchen filled with butter, coffee, and the slow rhythm of three bodies learning how to move around one another without pretending the movements meant nothing.

Once the food was ready, you carried the plates to the table. Felix took the chair beside you, but Hyunjin moved his own chair closer on the opposite side until his knee rested between yours beneath the table. Felix’s hand settled high on your thigh while Hyunjin poured coffee.

You looked down at both points of contact and tried to adjust your plate without knocking either man away. “Y’all know I cannot eat like this.”

Felix stole a strawberry from your plate. “You were not complaining earlier.”

“I was not holding a fork earlier,” you reminded him.

Hyunjin slid your coffee toward you and offered, “We can move,” although neither man made any effort to do so.

You picked up your fork and glanced from Hyunjin’s knee to Felix’s hand. “Liars.”

Felix leaned in and kissed your shoulder. “Partners.”

The word made your hand stop halfway to the pancake.

Felix noticed the reaction, but instead of teasing you, he looked across the table at Hyunjin. “That is what we are, right?”

Hyunjin sat back slightly and considered the word before saying, “Partners works for me.”

They both turned toward you.

You placed the fork down, the seriousness of the moment replacing your hunger. “It sounds serious.”

“It is serious,” Felix replied, his hand remaining warm against your thigh.

You looked at both men. “It has been one night.”

Hyunjin cut into his pancake while answering, “The sex has been one night. The relationship has been forming longer than that.”

Your chest tightened again, but this time the feeling was sweeter. You looked at Felix’s hand over your leg, then at Hyunjin sitting across from you. “So what do I call you?”

Felix’s smile returned slowly. “Your devastatingly attractive boyfriend.”

Hyunjin lifted his coffee and took a drink. “Your exhausting boyfriend.”

Felix narrowed his eyes. “Jealous.”

“Accurate,” Hyunjin corrected as he placed the cup down.

You looked at him, waiting for a real answer. “And you?”

Hyunjin’s face changed, the humor giving way to something quieter. “Whatever makes you feel secure. Boyfriend. Partner. Hyunjin. I care more about what we do than what you call it.”

Felix leaned toward him and complained, “You are supposed to say something romantic.”

“I did,” Hyunjin replied.

“You gave her paperwork.”

Hyunjin turned his eyes back to you. The room seemed to narrow around the stillness in his face before he said, “I love you.”

The words landed without warning.

Felix stopped moving, and you forgot the coffee in your hand.

Hyunjin held your gaze, calm despite the sudden tension in his jaw. “I loved you before last night. I did not understand the shape of it, and I did not know whether I was allowed to want more, but I loved you.”

Your eyes burned as you whispered his name.

He reached across the table and took your free hand, his thumb moving once over your knuckles. “You do not have to say it because I said it.”

Felix looked between the two of you before placing his hand over both of yours. His voice softened as he added, “But for the record, I love you too.”

A wet laugh escaped you. Looking at the breakfast spread between the three of you, you asked, “Y’all really waited until I was eating pancakes to do this?”

Felix’s fingers tightened around yours. “Would you prefer a PowerPoint?”

“Yes,” you replied, fighting a smile. “With charts.”

Hyunjin nodded as though considering the request seriously. “I can have one ready by dinner.”

“You are not making a presentation about loving me,” you warned.

Felix leaned closer and began negotiating. “Can it have pictures?”

“No,” you answered.

When he asked about transitions, you refused again, and when he suggested music, you pulled your hand free and covered your face while both men laughed.

The sound loosened the emotion before it could overwhelm you, but when you lowered your hands, they were still watching.

You reached for Felix first, curling your fingers behind his neck and drawing him into a kiss. It remained gentle even when his mouth opened beneath yours. His hand slid around your waist, holding you close as you whispered against his lips, “I love you too.”

His eyes closed for a second, and the hand around your waist tightened.

You then turned toward Hyunjin. He leaned across the table to meet you, one hand cradling your jaw as he kissed you slowly. His thumb stroked beneath your ear while his lips moved with the careful depth that always made you feel as though he was learning something sacred. Resting your forehead against his, you gave him the same truth. “I love you too.”

Hyunjin exhaled, and the hand at your jaw trembled once.

Felix ruined the moment by reaching across your plate and stealing half your pancake.

You stared at the empty space before looking at him. “Did you just take my food while I was confessing my love?”

He chewed without shame and explained, “I was emotional.”

“You have your own,” you reminded him.

“Yours tasted more intimate,” he argued around another bite.

Hyunjin slid his plate toward you. “Take mine.”

Felix pointed his fork across the table. “That is how competition begins.”

“You stole her breakfast,” Hyunjin replied.

Felix swallowed and gestured toward the plate Hyunjin had offered. “And you are exploiting my mistake.”

You cut a piece from Hyunjin’s pancake and ate it while holding Felix’s gaze. “His is better.”

Felix leaned back as if physically wounded. “We have been together for twelve minutes and favoritism has already poisoned this home.”

Hyunjin’s knee moved slowly between yours beneath the table. “No scorekeeping.”

Felix narrowed his eyes at him. “You are enjoying that rule too much.”

The three of you continued eating while the conversation moved into less tender but equally necessary territory. You agreed there would be no outside partners for now, not because desire had suddenly stopped existing beyond the apartment, but because none of you wanted to build something this complicated while adding more people to it.

Felix stabbed a piece of egg with his fork and observed, “I barely know what to do with the two of you. Why would I go looking for extra homework?”

“You make relationships sound like school,” you told him.

He gestured with the fork while explaining, “They require reading, emotional growth, and projects I forgot were due.”

Hyunjin reached across the space between them and wiped syrup from the corner of Felix’s mouth with his thumb. “You are not allowed to forget us.”

Felix caught his wrist and kissed the syrup from his thumb. “I could not if I tried.”

You watched them, warmth moving through you again, but the public photograph remained on your phone beside the plate. The world had already begun noticing their hands. It was only a matter of time before it noticed more.

You turned the phone around so both men could see the image. “We still need to talk about this.”

Felix looked at the photograph and traced one finger along the edge of the screen. “I want them to use it.”

Hyunjin studied him from across the table. “Why?”

“Because I like it.” Felix’s finger moved over the shape of your body between them. “It was taken right after she told us the truth. We look happy.”

“We also look suspicious,” you pointed out.

Felix’s smile returned. “That is because we were suspicious.”

Hyunjin folded his hands on the table, his expression growing serious again. “Posting a photograph is not the same as going public.”

“No, but it is the first thing people will come back to if we ever do.” You glanced between them. “Are we considering it?”

Felix answered immediately. “Yes.”

Hyunjin did not respond as quickly.

You turned toward him, noticing the tension gathering in his shoulders. “You do not want to?”

“I do not want you destroyed by people who believe they own pieces of us.” His voice remained calm, but the stillness in his body showed how seriously he had already considered the danger. “They know our careers. They know how to protect us. You would be exposed without a team, security, media training, or any control over how they describe you.”

“I do not need media training to love y’all,” you replied.

“No,” he agreed, leaning closer, “but you might need it when strangers decide your face, body, past, family, and work belong to them because you stood beside us.”

Felix’s expression darkened as the reality settled over him. “He is right about that.”

You looked between them. “I am not saying we announce it this afternoon.”

Felix glanced toward the clock and suggested, “Tonight?”

You turned a warning look toward him. “Felix.”

He lifted both hands. “Next week?”

Hyunjin reached across the table and took Felix’s phone away before he could begin drafting a statement. Looking between both of you, he said, “We need to know what we are protecting before we invite everyone else to judge it.”

The sentence stayed with you.

You touched the photograph again and watched the three frozen figures beneath your fingertip. “I do not want to be hidden forever.”

Hyunjin reached across the table and covered your hand. “Private is not the same as hidden.”

“It can become the same thing when privacy is convenient for the people with more power,” you replied, holding his gaze.

His face tightened because he understood exactly what you meant.

Felix’s hand left your thigh and rested beside the phone. “Then that is another rule. We do not call something privacy when it is actually shame.”

You looked at him as the humor drained from his expression.

Holding your gaze, he said, “I am not ashamed of you. I am not ashamed of Hyunjin. I am scared of what the public could do to all three of us, but I do not want fear deciding the whole relationship.”

Hyunjin nodded slowly. “We tell our managers soon. Not today, but before they try to build a public narrative around either of us.”

Your stomach tightened at the implication. “What kind of narrative?”

Felix grimaced and explained, “Fake dating rumors. Public flirting. Being seen with somebody for promotion.”

Hyunjin’s eyes remained on you as he promised, “Nothing like that happens without all three of us discussing it first.”

“You have done that before?” you asked.

“Not a full fake relationship,” Felix clarified. “But there have been suggestions. Photographs, carefully timed appearances, things that encourage people to assume.”

You looked at Hyunjin. “And if the company asks again?”

“We say no unless we all agree there is a reason worth the cost,” he answered before Felix could.

You studied his face and asked the question that frightened you more than the rest. “Would you lie if someone asked directly whether we were together?”

Hyunjin took a moment before answering. “Right now, I would say our private lives are private.”

“That is not a lie,” you observed.

“No,” he agreed, squeezing your hand.

Felix leaned toward the photograph and admitted, “I would probably panic and say something too honest.”

Hyunjin turned his head slowly. “You would announce our relationship while trying to deny it.”

“I am charming under pressure,” Felix argued.

Hyunjin reminded him, “You told an interviewer your underwear color last month.”

“They asked,” Felix replied, as if that settled the matter.

“You could have declined.”

Felix shrugged and picked up his coffee. “The fans deserved accurate reporting.”

You laughed despite yourself, and Hyunjin rubbed a hand over his face. Looking at you through his fingers, he said, “This is why management needs to know before the public does.”

A plan began taking shape around the table. You would remain private while the relationship found its footing. The photograph could be posted because it reflected the friendship everyone already knew about, not because you were ready to turn the morning into a statement. Within the next few weeks, Felix and Hyunjin would tell their managers enough to prevent surprise publicity arrangements. After you had lived the relationship long enough to understand how it worked outside one bedroom and one breakfast, the three of you would revisit going public together.

There would be no secret announcements, accidental confessions during interviews, or allowing management to invent partners without a conversation. Neither of them would ask you to disappear from places where you had always belonged simply because the meaning of your presence had changed. Most importantly, none of you would promise that privacy had to last forever simply because fear made it easier.

Felix unlocked his phone and opened a blank note, announcing, “I am writing this down.”

Hyunjin leaned over to read the screen and warned him, “Title it something normal.”

Felix typed while speaking each word aloud. “Terms and Conditions for Loving Three Extremely Attractive People.”

“There are only two extremely attractive people,” you said as you watched his fingers stop over the screen.

He looked at you, his expression turning unexpectedly serious. “Do not insult yourself.”

“I meant me and Hyunjin,” you clarified.

Hyunjin covered his mouth, but his shoulders moved with a laugh while Felix stared at both of you in open betrayal. “This relationship is hostile.”

You leaned against him and kissed his cheek. “Put Breakfast Agreement.”

“That sounds like a labor negotiation,” he complained.

You shrugged. “It is either that or Relationship Rules.”

Felix considered both options, then typed a different title. Turning the screen toward you and Hyunjin, he revealed, “Breakfast for Three.”

The words sat at the top of the note while the three of you built the list together. Felix typed that the truth had to be spoken before fear turned it into silence, then added that no one would ever be treated like the third. Hyunjin insisted that every pair deserved independent time and care, that nobody would keep score, and that jealousy had to be spoken rather than weaponized. You added that touch was invited but never owed, while all three of you agreed there would be no outside partners for now. No public performance, false relationship, or publicity story would happen without mutual agreement, and privacy would never be used as another word for shame.

Felix’s fingers slowed when Hyunjin gave him the final rule. He typed, “Nobody disappears after a hard conversation,” then read the sentence twice.

You saw his expression change and touched his arm. “What?”

Felix locked the phone and set it facedown. Looking toward the table instead of either of you, he answered, “That one.”

Hyunjin’s hand settled on the back of his neck again. “Nobody disappears.”

Felix looked at him, then at you. “Even if I get difficult?”

You moved closer and rested one hand against his chest. “Especially then.”

Hyunjin squeezed his neck and reminded him, “You do not get abandoned for being afraid.”

Felix looked down, blinking hard enough to reveal what he was trying not to show. You wrapped both arms around him, and Hyunjin stood from his chair before coming around the table and folding himself around the two of you.

For a while, the three of you remained there beside the ruined remains of breakfast. Felix’s face rested against your neck. Hyunjin’s hand moved slowly along your back beneath Felix’s shirt. Your fingers curled into the fabric at Hyunjin’s waist while all three of you breathed through the first promise that felt larger than desire.

Felix eventually lifted his head, his eyes bright even though his smile had started returning. Clearing his throat, he asked, “Does that mean we all have to sleep in the same bed every night?”

Hyunjin answered no at the exact moment Felix answered yes, leaving you staring between them.

You leaned back enough to see both of their faces. “We need a schedule?”

Felix’s mouth twisted. “That sounds unromantic.”

“So does waking up with somebody’s foot against my throat,” you replied.

Hyunjin looked directly at Felix. “That was you.”

“I move beautifully in my sleep,” Felix insisted.

Hyunjin’s expression remained flat. “You kicked me in the ribs.”

“You were in my space,” Felix argued.

“It was my bed,” Hyunjin reminded him.

You lifted a hand before the argument could grow and proposed pair nights, group nights, and nights alone.

Felix looked personally betrayed by the final option. “Alone?”

“Yes,” you said, stroking your hand down his arm. “Sometimes people need space.”

“I have never needed space,” he insisted.

Hyunjin stared at him before reminding him, “You locked yourself in the bathroom for two hours because I reorganized the closet.”

Felix’s expression turned solemn. “That was grief.”

“That was Wednesday,” Hyunjin replied.

You laughed and pulled Felix down until his forehead rested against yours. “Nobody disappears, but everybody gets to breathe.”

He sighed dramatically before surrendering. “Fine. But I reserve the right to request emergency cuddles.”

“Approved,” you said, brushing your nose against his.

Hyunjin leaned down and kissed your temple before warning Felix, “Requests can still be denied.”

Felix reached around you and grabbed the front of Hyunjin’s pants, pulling him closer until he stood between Felix’s knees. Looking up at him through his lashes, he asked, “Would you deny me?”

Hyunjin looked down at the hand clutching his clothes before meeting Felix’s eyes. “Right now?”

Felix’s fingers tightened slightly, giving his answer without words.

Hyunjin bent and kissed him, slow enough to pull a quiet sound from Felix’s throat. You watched their bodies lean together as Felix’s free hand slid up Hyunjin’s side and Hyunjin cupped the back of his neck. When they separated, Hyunjin remained close enough that their breaths still mingled.

Felix looked pleased with himself. “No.”

Hyunjin’s lips brushed his again. “That was not an emergency.”

“It felt urgent,” Felix replied, already trying to draw him back.

You stood beside them, shaking your head, but Hyunjin caught your wrist and pulled you into the space between their bodies. Felix’s hand returned beneath the shirt, warm against the small of your back, while Hyunjin’s fingers slid along your jaw.

The kiss began with Hyunjin.

His mouth met yours, tasting faintly of coffee and syrup. He kissed you until your fingers curled into his shirt, then turned your face gently toward Felix. Felix took your mouth without hesitation, one hand holding your hip while the other tangled in your hair. The kiss grew deeper, your bodies shifting together in a slow rhythm that threatened every promise to finish breakfast without returning to bed.

Hyunjin moved behind you. His mouth found the side of your neck while Felix’s palm slid over your ass beneath the shirt. You leaned back against Hyunjin, feeling the heat of him along your spine as Felix stepped between your thighs.

Against Felix’s mouth, you reminded both men, “Not sex,” although your hips moved forward when his did.

“Absolutely not,” Felix agreed before kissing you again, his fingers tightening around your flesh.

Hyunjin’s lips traveled toward your ear. “This is already testing the definition.”

Felix’s thigh shifted between yours, creating a slow drag that made your breath catch. “We are fully dressed.”

You looked down at your bare legs. “I am not.”

Felix tugged gently at the hem of his shirt. “You are wearing a shirt.”

“That belongs to you,” you pointed out.

“Shared property,” he decided.

Hyunjin’s arm tightened around your waist before either of you could take the argument somewhere dangerous. Pulling his mouth away from your neck, he reminded you both about the livestream, their managers, and the showers all three of you still needed.

Felix kissed the corner of your mouth before asking hopefully, “Together?”

“Separately,” Hyunjin answered as he released you.

Felix looked offended. “We just made rules about inclusion.”

“We also made rules about accepting no,” Hyunjin reminded him.

You smiled and patted Felix’s chest. “He got you.”

Felix watched Hyunjin walk away from the table and muttered, “I am beginning to hate that phrase.”

Hyunjin turned near the hall, his eyes traveling over the bare length of your legs beneath Felix’s shirt. “You have ten minutes.”

Felix’s hand slid down to the back of your thigh. Looking toward the hallway, he replied, “Ten minutes is enough.”

Hyunjin pointed toward him without turning around completely. “It is not an invitation.”

“It sounded like one,” Felix called after him.

Hyunjin continued toward the bedroom without answering, but the smile he tried to hide betrayed him.

Felix watched him disappear before looking down at you. Tightening his arms around your waist, he suggested, “We could catch him.”

You wrapped your arms around his neck but kept your feet planted near the table. “We are finishing breakfast.”

He looked down at the cold food and sighed. “I do not think breakfast survived the relationship meeting.”

You kissed him once, soft and lingering, before telling him, “Then we clean up.”

“That is not romantic,” he complained, although he began gathering the plates.

“It is domestic,” you replied.

His expression softened at the word.

The apartment had always belonged to the three of you, but the meaning had shifted. The same table, the same dishes, and the same coffee mugs crowded near the sink. Nothing had changed, yet every ordinary thing seemed to carry a new promise.

Felix picked up the plates while you collected the cups. At the sink, he stood behind you and slid his arms around your waist, swaying slowly while you rinsed the dishes. His mouth brushed your shoulder, then your neck, but the movement remained gentle.

After watching the water run over your fingers for several seconds, he asked, “You really want to go public someday?”

You leaned back into him. “I want the option.”

Felix nodded against your skin. “Me too.”

You turned your head enough to see him. “You are not scared?”

“I am terrified.” His hands spread over your stomach while he watched your reflection in the darkened kitchen window. “But I spent too long wanting both of you quietly. I do not want quiet to be the only place I am allowed to love you.”

You turned in his arms and looked up at him. Resting your hands against his chest, you said, “Then we build something worth protecting before we show it to anybody.”

Felix kissed you with a tenderness that felt deeper than hunger. Keeping his forehead against yours, he asked, “Together?”

“Together,” you promised.

Hyunjin returned wearing fresh clothes, his dark hair still damp around his face. He stopped near the kitchen entrance and watched the two of you for a moment before coming closer. His hand settled against Felix’s back, then slid around your waist until the three of you stood tangled together beside the sink.

Holding his phone in his free hand, he said, “The company needs the photograph now.”

Felix looked down at you rather than at the screen. “Your choice.”

You studied the image one more time. Three best friends stood beneath the soft lights after an awards ceremony. Felix’s arm was wrapped around your waist, Hyunjin’s hand rested on your hip, and your face was turned toward one of them while the other held you close.

The photograph did not tell the whole truth, but it did not lie either.

You looked at Hyunjin and gave him your answer. “Post it.”

Hyunjin uploaded the picture with a simple message congratulating Felix and himself on the awards and thanking everyone who had supported them. He did not explain who you were. He did not crop you out. He did not loosen the hand at your hip.

Before sharing it, he tilted the screen so all three of you could see it and asked, “Together?”

Felix placed his finger over the button. You covered his hand with yours, and Hyunjin placed his hand over both.

Together, the three of you posted the first piece of the truth.

Nothing happened immediately. There were no alarms, headlines, or sudden collapses of the world beyond the windows. The photograph simply appeared, bright and quiet among thousands of screens, waiting for strangers to decide what they thought they saw.

Felix placed the phone facedown and pulled both of you closer. Looking toward Hyunjin with renewed hope, he asked, “Now can we shower together?”

Hyunjin sighed as he settled one hand against your waist. “You learned nothing.”

“I learned ten rules,” Felix argued.

“There are eleven,” Hyunjin corrected.

Felix turned toward you. “What is the last one?”

You rose onto your toes and kissed him, then turned and gave Hyunjin the same slow affection. Looking between them, you decided, “Nobody skips breakfast.”

Felix glanced toward the ruined pancake still sitting on the counter. “That rule might kill us.”

Hyunjin reached around him and picked up a strawberry. He held it to your mouth and watched as you bit into it, then used his thumb to catch the juice from your lower lip. Instead of wiping it away, he brought the same thumb to Felix’s mouth.

Felix sucked the sweetness from it without looking away from him.

Your body warmed again as you watched the private movement pass between them.

Hyunjin removed his thumb slowly and looked toward you. “Breakfast for three.”

Felix’s smile turned dangerous as he drew both of you closer. “Finally, a rule I understand.”

The kitchen filled with laughter as they pulled you between them again, not friends pretending the night had never happened and not lovers rushing to prove what it meant, but three people learning that a relationship could be built from small things: a shared plate, a difficult truth, a hand reaching across the table, and a photograph no one had been removed from.

Outside, the world still knew only the body language no one was supposed to notice. Inside, the three of you had finally learned how to read it.
